My friend Nikki passed away the morning of my wedding. I've been gone and busy with stuff since then so it took me awhile, but I wanted to put up this video I made of pictures of her. And to her sister... Jessica, I ♥ you! Never forget that! Text or call if you EVER need anything! *hugs!*

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today my grandma would have turned 73.

Norma Haber was an amazing woman.

She loved her Saviour.

She loved each of her grandkids.

She was dedicated to her husband and her children.

She was a great knitter! =P

She was an avid reader and got me hooked!

She was pure genius.

She was the only person I know who could pull off her style.

She was a collector of cabbage patch dolls.

She had a heart for China.

She was the queen of bagels and cheese and of course, spinach dip.

She loved pigs!

She loved blueberry muffins.

She was quite the comedian.

She was my twinsy.

She liked eating ice cream for breakfast.

She took care of me in Scotland for the first part of my life when my mum was sick.

She was a poet.

She was a drinker of diet soda.

She was an amazing story teller. (Thanks to the tapes she made that my uncle put on cd I can still listen to her tell her story!)

She was a mother of five.

She was a grandmother of 10.

She was Phi Beta Kappa.

She was my grandmother.

She was my best friend.

...and she was soo much more!

My fiance...

...is absolutely the most amazing man that I know.

 

He finished his last final on Friday evening and I picked him up and we headed back towards home. We met his mom and two brothers for dinner at Pizza Hut. It was a pretty good time! I love his family =D They're great! That night when we got back to his house he spent the majority of the time packing up his stuff and getting it ready to go.

 

 He loaded it all into his pretty new car. Ok, it's not new, it's a 2006... and it's not really even new to him. He bought it all the way back in January, but hasn't really had a chance to drive it until now.

Saturday we had some good hang out time while he continued to get ready to leave. That night around 6:15 he pulled out of his driveway and headed out on a long trip through the night to the place where he's working this summer.

He's working in Boulder, Colorado. He's working as an intern for Qualcomm, and I know he's going to love it. I'm really hoping that it turns into a job for him because 1. he'd love that and 2. Boulder is absolutely beautiful and all things considered, I really don't think I'd mind living there after his last semester of school. Anywho, he's working there until August 6th and hopefully I'll be able to see him for a weekend in June, and one in July.

He'll be home probably August 7th or 8th--just in time to help with final details for our wedding on August 14th!!!! I absolutely can not wait for our wedding! The day is going to be amazing, I'll finally be his wife, and we can go settle into our apartment for his final semester at U of I, have some quality time with my older sister and our nieces and nephews before they go back to Canada and still fit in an amazing honeymoon all before the semester starts on Monday! It's going to be a crazy month, but so much fun! I love you Gregory!!!! 89 days and you'll be my husband... mine FOREVER!!!! Hehe lucky you!!! You know you can't wait. Thanks so much for working so hard this summer to earn money to take care of us and to hopefully get a job to take care of us after December. I love you sweetheart; you're wonderful!!!!

Happy Valentines Day!

Hope everyone had a great V-day! I celebrated Greg's bday/our 3 year anniversary/V-day by staying up at U of I and visiting Greg over the weekend. Friday we watched a movie and saw the opening ceremonies of the Olympics then on Saturday we hung out around campus and went bowling with Chris Co. Then, today we went to church in the morning and then hung out at Greg's dorm for a little while until I left to come home... overall a very good weekend!  How did everyone else celebrate?

Today is my boyfriend's birthday. Happy 21st birthday Gregory! Hope you have a great day! I wish I could be there to celebrate with you, but I'll see you in 10 days. Can't wait!!!!

Birthday Fiascos...

Ok, so today is my birthday... and my mom made this really great ice cream cake for me... as she was cutting it my boyfriend ate a peanut that fell off. He's like "Hey, this peanut tastes like broccoli!" My mother thought he was crazy but, believe it or not, the peanuts really did taste like broccoli... interesting mix! lol Oh and also she said that you could kill someone by choking on a peanut... so weird...
